If you aren't familiar with Powtoon, I urge you to check out mine bellow in which I introduce the concept of Genius Hour. Powtoon is a free online resource through Google that allows anyone to animate a short visual presentation. It is extremely user friendly, and I encourage educators and students the like to try it out.

ReplyDeleteI love your Genius Hour Project! It is a such a creative idea for a teacher candidate. I love that you saw a gap in literature and decided to fill that gap yourself. A storybook on a child trying to learn French is certainly something that I have never seen, but something that would be so useful so many primary/junior French teachers who struggle to find resources to engage their students in French. The main character in your story (Forest), is very relatable as it reminded me of my struggles learning French during my own youth. I think this will go over well in your future classroom! As for your blog, it is very organized and visually appealing with all of the credentials required. Your weekly blogs are well written, and when you use pictures or videos throughout your blog they are properly cited. I also thoroughly enjoyed your movie trailer, as it was very intriguing and had a hint of humour to it! Overall, I enjoyed exploring your blog and would love to see the final product of your storybook in future classrooms!
